Stirling is a city in central Scotland. The city is clustered around a large fortress and medieval old town. Stirling is the administrative centre for the Stirling council area, and is traditionally the county town of Stirlingshire. The city is located several miles to the west of the mouth of the River Forth.
The Stirling Council (Scotland) seeks an Economic Development Project Manager. This post is part of a new vision for Stirling, providing a fantastic opportunity to work across the Council, be externally focused and deliver positive outcomes for our communities. Stirling is an ambitious Council and wants to take advantage of the area’s unrivalled location, high quality attributes and rapid growth to provide opportunities and service for all its citizens and to encourage sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

We want to drive greater inward investment opportunities from around the world to create new employment opportunities for all in the area. We are looking for you to support the Economic Growth and Regeneration Service to drive forward our economic growth agenda and deliver our ambitions for Stirling, a key part of which is our exciting City Deal programme.
You will be an effective communicator, a customer focused thinker and experienced project manager, with demonstrable experience in delivering economic development projects and initiatives. Analytical skills and political awareness and understanding are needed, together with a commitment to delivering a highly customer-focused public service.
Working with our communities and public, private and third sector organisations you will build and develop relationships to deliver improvements for the benefit of all our citizens. There will be a strong emphasis on being able to promote and communicate the vision and messages of the Council to potential investors, communities, businesses and partners.
Interviews will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Old Viewforth, Stirling.
Salary: £41,820 – £44,397 per year
Hours: 35.00 hours per week
