Mixed-use renovation of “most-loved” building to bring new life to Hastings, UK

Developers have revealed plans to redevelop the old Observer building in the town centre of Hastings, East Sussex, England.

Flint Development Group wants to provide student accommodation, an art-house cinema and a shop/restaurant for Sussex food and produce at the site in Cambridge Road, which closed more than 30 years ago.

Jeff Kirby, director of Flint Development Group, said: “We are rescuing one of Hastings’ most loved buildings, re-animating the America Ground and bringing students from all over the country and the world to Hastings.

Our dream is that they fall in love with this magical place, form families and households of every kind and found new businesses to bring Hastings to life again,” he continued.
