11-acre transit-oriented redevelopment coming to revitalized Atlanta corridor

Charlotte-based developer Terwilliger Pappas plans to redevelop a little more than 11 acres on the northern fringe of Atlanta at Peachtree Boulevard and Clairmont Road with hundreds of new apartments.

The project in Chamblee, one of the cities just outside Atlanta that sits along the MARTA Gold line. It started catching the eye of more developers just before the economy crashed in 2008.
In the past two years, that interest returned.

Terwilliger Pappas is proposing Parkview on Peachtree, a project that calls for 310 units in its first phase and another 200 in the second.

The redevelopment would also include retail and office space, a pedestrian bridge, and a link to an old railroad bed the city has converted to a trail network.

Terwilliger Pappas is one of several developers either starting or planning projects on Peachtree Boulevard, a corridor linking Atlanta’s suburbs to the city.
