After 25 years of in-person events, Solarfest is taking place (free) online on July 25 & 26, 2020. Storm Cunningham is the keynoter.

After a quarter of a century of physical events in Vermont—sometimes drawing over 2000 people—Solarfest will take place online this year on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, 2020, free of charge.

Previous keynoters have included Bill McKibben (founder of 350.org), Amy Goodman (host of Democracy Now! on over 1400 public radio stations) and Ben Cohen (co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s).

This year, our keynoter is Storm Cunningham, Executive Director of RECONOMICS Institute: The Society of Revitalization & Resilience Professionals, Editor of REVITALIZATION, and author of The Restoration Economy (B-K, 2002), reWealth (McGraw-Hill, 2008) RECONOMICS (January 2020).

SolarFest started in 1995 with an innovative idea: hold a festival that showcases the power and possibilities of solar energy. Thousands of festival-goers have attended dozens of SolarFest workshops explaining the festival power array, and even more visited the “Juice Bar” to see renewable power being produced in real time. We know that Solar Works!

Over the past 25 years we have been a leader in demonstrating how individuals and communities can make a difference with renewable energy. SolarFest is proud to continue in our mission to explore and explain the advances that will lead to climate restoration via a better, carbon-free future.
