28-year-old developer invests £300 million to regenerate Liverpool, UK city centre

Liverpool, England is booming, and the city needs to take advantage of its increasing appeal, according to a developer who is changing the face of the city.

Elliot Lawless is currently overseeing 15 projects with a combined development value of £300 million – work generating 2500 full-time construction jobs.

And the Liverpool-born entrepreneur, just 28, believes there is more room for the city to take advantage of a groundswell of interest from both foreign and local investors.

After starting his career by refurbishing properties in the Georgian Quarter, just over two years ago the former Liverpool College student acquired his first site in the Baltic Triangle, on Jamaica Street.

Now his firm, Elliot Group, has just delivered The Artesian office and residential complex on time and on budget on that plot, with the project kickstarting a huge expansion of his portfolio.

Over the next two-and-a-half years the company will deliver 3800 residential units in Liverpool city centre, with high profile developments including plans for historic Heaps Mill and clubland capital Wolstenholme Square.
