31 one-year AmeriCorps positions available with Ohio Stream Restore Corps

The Ohio Stream Restore Corps (OSRC) is a program administered by Rural Action that places 31 AmeriCorps into communities throughout Appalachian Ohio to perform direct service related to watershed restoration, environmental education, eco and heritage tourism, sustainable livelihoods, and zero waste.

Members are placed into programs of Rural Action and with local partner organizations in the region.

Ohio Stream Restore Corps members serve a term of 12 months, accumulating a total of 1700 hours of community based service, an average service load of 35 hours a week.

AmeriCorps Positions Benefits:

  • An annual living allowance of $13,732
  • An education award in the amount of $5,920 for a completed term of service, which can be used to pay for existing federal student loans or go towards future education expenses

  • Mileage reimbursement for travel during service activities
  • Positions allow for part-time outside employment or attendance at an institution of higher learning during service year.
