£60 million affordable housing to complete revitalization of famous Glasgow street

A £60 million regeneration scheme will complete the missing link of one of Scotland’s most famous streets.

Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association plans to build 206 flats on Argyle Street in the Finnieston neighborhood of Glasgow.

In the 1960s, tenements on the 200m long site were demolished and replaced with blocks of flats.

Sanctuary plans to demolish the blocks and replace them with a mix of social rent and mid-market rent flats.

Alastair Wylie, chairman and chief executive of CCG, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Sanctuary Scotland to deliver the final phase of one of Glasgow’s largest regeneration schemes.

We have worked with Sanctuary since the first phase commenced in 2008. We are proud to have delivered high quality, affordable homes using Off-Site Modern Methods of Construction,” he continued
