£70 million revitalization of crime-ridden former Royal Navy site nears completion

Devonport, formerly named Plymouth Dock or just Dock, is a district of Plymouth in the English county of Devon.

Now, the largest urban regeneration project in southwest Britain–the £70 million “Vision at Devonport” redevelopment of Plymouth’s former Royal Navy South Yard–will wrap up in 2017.

Vision, alongside other neighbouring housing schemes and social enterprise-led business initiatives, has transformed what was once one of Plymouth’s most crime and deprivation-troubled quarters into a pleasant, modern, and prosperous area.

Now, developer Redrow has started work on the final phases of construction at the vast 464-property Vision project.

From the Redrow website: Vision at Devonport is an exciting development from Redrow that not only includes homes, but also a wide selection of other buildings, including offices, shops, a market hall and other versatile venues. Together, they help to form a development that boasts excellent amenities right on your doorstep and also assist in creating a unique sense of community amongst our residents.

The homes available at Vision are the ultimate in modern, chic living. With plenty of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments situated alongside 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses, we welcome residents of all walks of life. Young professionals, couples or growing families can all discover the contemporary home of their dreams within the Vision development.

Situated close to Plymouth City Centre with regular bus services, and close to Plymouth Railway Station, Vision is the perfect place to set up your home.
