Bath (UK) gets £12 million to revitalize downtown waterfront on River Avon

Funding worth £12 million for the River Avon‘s redevelopment in central Bath, England has been approved.

The local authority has formally passed the Bath Quays project’s capital funding which totals £12.057 million.

The work will lead to the creation of Bath Quays North and South – new areas for businesses to thrive and provide new open spaces.

The land will be raised either side of the River Avon in a bid to protect the land from future flooding.

Bath and North East Somerset Council said the regenerated Bath Quays will “bring new investment into the city.”
