Bellevue TN celebrates dead mall’s demolition, property’s mixed-use rebirth

It used to be the place to go in Bellevue, Tennessee.

It was the center of the suburban community, where people shopped and met up with friends.

But for the past seven years, the Bellevue Center mall has been shuttered, an empty relic of what it once was.

On the evening of August 22, 2015, Bellevue residents came in droves to celebrate both its destruction and its rebirth.
