Community economic development summit — Philadelphia, PA — September 12-14 2018

The National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations‘s (NACEDA) 10th Anniversary Summit & Celebration will take place on September 12-14, 2018 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This peer-learning event is designed by and for community development association professionals. NACEDA’s Annual Summit creates a stronger, more unified community development field. Each year, the event achieves these outcomes:

  • Showcases local community development solutions to poverty, disinvestment and inequality;
  • Facilitates peer-learning, sharing and relationship-building that builds thriving networks among NACEDA’s members;
  • Strengthens community development networks so that they can increase capacity of community development placemakers in their states and regions to advance prosperity;
  • Prepares community developers to develop health and arts partnerships that improve the health and vitality of low-income places.

NACEDA is alliance of 40 state and regional community development associations in 25 states and the District of Columbia who are dedicated to improving places for the people who live and work there. Through their members, NACEDA connects with almost 4000 community development nonprofit organizations throughout the United States.

Together, they work at the local, state and national levels to advance opportunity and prosperity in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods that have experienced a significant lack of investment.
