Connecticut offers $7.5 million to restore brownfields

The state of Connecticut announced a fresh round of up to $7.5 million available to clean and restore to productive use hundreds more former industrial and other brownfield sites statewide.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) said the agency is now accepting applications for the new round of grant funding.

A total of $6.5 million will be earmarked for remediation projects and $1 million will be earmarked for assessment projects.
