On June 28, 2016, the New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association (LSRPA) will present an event titled “Converting Contaminated Properties in Your Municipality into Assets“.
It takes place at the Mott MacDonald’s Training Facility, 111 Wood Avenue South, Iselin, New Jersey from 3:30pm – 7:00pm.
Your municipality probably has functioning properties such as vehicle maintenance facilities or underground tank projects that require remediation as well as vacant or underutilized lots, some of which are or may be contaminated from legacy manufacturing, gas stations or other businesses.
This two hour program presented by the LSRPA will help you deal with contamination and clean up and move properties to productive re-use to create jobs, tax revenue and public benefits for your community.
It may seem overwhelming. Join the LSRPA and a coalition of municipal, educational, and environmental organizations for helpful suggestions on how to start.
Panelists will address the following questions:
- How does site cleanup work?
- Who are Licensed Site Remediation Professionals, what is their role?
- What is the duty to remediate under the NJ’s Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA)?
