Developer to transform abandoned 1916 Minneapolis factory into student housing

Developer Ned Abdul has submitted plans to the city of Minneapolis to renovate the Maxwell Building at 150 26th Ave. S.E.

He plans to turn the four-story former manufacturing building and a neighboring structure into 315 units of student housing with 480 bedrooms.

The site currently contains a three-building complex, including the brick and concrete Maxwell Building constructed in 1916.
