Equity 1st: Revitalizing Communities Together — Reclaiming Vacant Properties Conference — Atlanta, Georgia — October 2-4, 2019

The ninth Reclaiming Vacant Properties Conference will be held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia, from October 2-4, 2019.

Themed “Equity First: Revitalizing Communities Together,” RVP 2019 will focus on efforts to revitalize disinvested communities in ways that meet the needs and preferences of residents, create new opportunities for and with marginalized communities, and rectify unjust land use, housing, and related policies that contributed to decline.

RVP 2019 will boast more than 60 sessions on topics ranging from vacant land reuse, to housing stabilization, arts and placemaking, and beyond.

Breakout sessions and hands-on training seminars will equip you with ideas and skills to push your vacant property efforts forward–featuring best practices from around the country.

Mobile workshops will take you into Atlanta’s neighborhoods to learn from revitalization efforts underway. Stroll through the historic Sweet Auburn District to learn about its rich history and current placemaking projects; explore one of the largest urban redevelopment programs in the U.S., the Atlanta BeltLine; meet creatives at a pop-up urban design studio, and more!

It’s the only national conference dedicated to innovative solutions for vacant, abandoned, and deteriorated properties. This conference only happens every 18 months, so be sure to check out this special opportunity in 2019.
