Glasgow School of Art to be restored by local architects

Almost a year ago, one of the world’s most tragic fires took place, at least as far as heritage preservation enthusiasts and art lovers are concerned.

The historic 1909 Glasgow School of Art was heavily damaged. Through heroic efforts by employees and fire personnel, 90% of the building was saved (though all of it was damaged), and many priceless artworks were saved.

Now, a well-respected local architectural firm, Page/Park, has been selected to perform the 2-year restoration.
