Green Infrastructure Summit, April 6, 2016 – Raleigh, North Carolina

Join NC State University as we welcome these international and national experts for a one-day Green Stormwater Infrastructure event in Raleigh, NC, on April 6, 2016.

In 2007, North Carolina hosted the 2nd National Low Impact Development Conference, bringing in scores of national experts to our state for a stormwater-centric event.

Nine years later, North Carolina will again be hosting a national event on Stormwater Green Infrastructure: the 2016 Green Infrastructure Summit. Experts from Europe and across North America will be presenting on a variety of topics that holistically examine the benefits of stormwater control measures (aka BMPs).

Topics to be explored are wide-ranging and include climate resiliency, air quality benefits, carbon sequestration, green job creation, maintenance of base flow, public perceptions and acceptance of innovative measures, real-time control to improve SCM function while preserving stream health, and a discussion on employing Green Stormwater Infrastructure across the US and Canada. Understanding Green Infrastructure may change how you perceive and implement stormwater infrastructure in your community.
