In Houston, Texas, Community Health And Resource Management (CHARM) is hiring for two Resilience Planner II positions.

CHARM is a mission-driven, university-based program directly helping communities work through and plan for their environmental and development challenges. With innovative technology, facilitation, and education, our CHARM approach puts dialogue and data-driven insights at the forefront of our work with community stakeholders and elected leadership.
Over the last decade, our planning program has grown from a small technology pilot project to become a model for community planning adopted by state and federal agencies. We are now undertaking a significant multi-year investment to build next generation tools that support collaborative community planning around the pressing resiliency issues of today and tomorrow.
As a Resilience Planner, you will use your planning and project development experience to contribute to and manage a variety of projects, including CHARM Resiliency Workshops, local planning projects, and technical assistance projects. You will organize public-facing planning efforts, applying soft skills in public engagement, relationship-building, and facilitation to engage communities.
Working with community clients and stakeholders, you will develop, scope, and manage planning projects, including plan drafting, ordinance writing, and analyses. You will apply strong analytical skills and bring to bear a broad base of planning knowledge.
