Spectacular revitalization of abandoned industrial waterfront coming to Belgium

On June 23, 2016 the town of Anderlecht, Belgium approved the Biestebroek redevelopment project on long-abandoned industrial lands.

The first residents will arrive in about three years in this new residential district of Anderlecht.

Locals say it’s the largest and most important real estate project in a century.

The new waterfront district will be built along the Quai de Biestebroeckkaai.
