WANTED: Restoration Manager for non-profit parks organization – San Francisco, CA

The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in San Francisco, California seeks a full-time Restoration Manager. The mission of the Parks Conservancy is to preserve the Golden Gate National Parks, enhance the park visitor experience, and build a community dedicated to conserving the parks for the future.

The Restoration Manager provides ecological expertise and leadership to the Park Stewardship Program. The position will oversee data management and reporting for Park Stewardship sites in Marin (Muir Beach, Oakwood Valley, Wolfback Ridge), San Francisco (Lands End, Fort Funston, and Presidio Coastal Bluffs) and San Mateo (Mori Point, Milagra Ridge).

The position will support the Senior Restoration Manager in natural resource management activities on select Park Stewardship Sites. Depending on future funding, projects and evolving priorities, this position may shift to support new projects and different areas. This position reports to the Senior Restoration Manager.

The Park Stewardship Program works to connect people to the land by developing a sense of place, an understanding of interconnection, and opportunities for engagement and learning. Park Stewardship programs aim to restore and protect the integrity of the natural and cultural resources throughout the Park while building communities, both human and ecological.

We believe it is the synergy between these elements that creates passionate and informed citizens invested in the health and future of parklands while engaging a broad constituency in support of public land. Our Restoration Team assesses the ecological needs of Park Stewardship sites and works to restore habitats for the rare species that they support.

The salary range for this position is $53,000 to $63,000k annually. Compensation will be commensurate with work experience, skills, and educational background. The Conservancy offers a generous benefits package.
