Isle of Man to redevelop historic downtown Post Office into shops

The Isle of Man Post Office has submitted a planning application to redevelop the site of the Post Office in Regent Street, Douglas into a modern retail outlet.

The building is located adjacent to the prime retail zone and within a central part of the town’s regeneration area.

Thus, the Isle of Man Post Office believes it’s important that the building is used to its best potential, for the benefit of Douglas town centre for years to come.

A professional review, undertaken during 2015, advised that the best future use of the site was for retail activities.

Note from Storm: The Isle of Man is one of my favorite places. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a tranquil, beautiful, out-of-the-way destination! The captial city of Douglas (featured in this article) is lovely. But my favorite city to stay in is Peel.
