DeKalb County, Georgia has an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and innovative professional to join the County as its Director of Community Development. The successful candidate will have broad public sector experience with a strong background in community and economic development. Additional valued experience includes planning and implementing successful programs to meet the needs of a diverse community, developing comprehensive community development strategies and working collaboratively with non-profit agencies, government entities, businesses and faith-based organizations.
The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the social and economic forces affecting families and communities to shape program-ing efforts. The County is interested in a candidate who has the ability to think critically and creatively, and exercises excellent judgment to make multidimensional decisions based on facts and experience.
Annual Salary: $110,000 is negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
