The purpose of this role in Surrey, England is to coordinate community engagement and consultation for the Economic Development, Planning and Sustainability Team.
The role will focus on community engagement for the local Development Framework; however you will be required to coordinate community engagement across other work streams, including the refresh of the Local Plan and Town Centre Masterplan.
Duties will involve working pro-actively and demonstrating sound judgement in relationships with consultants, partners and internal council colleagues to deliver comprehensive and holistic consultations on major planning projects.
In addition you will use knowledge and skills in town planning and property development to inform work on projects and deliver a community engagement plan for the local Development Framework and other work streams.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree-level or equivalent experience (preferably in planning and/or regeneration) along with Experience using a range of creative and quality techniques in stakeholder management in the context of large regeneration projects.
