JOB OPENINGS: Multiple positions restoring public land all around the U.S. available through the Trust for Public Land

Note from Storm: The Trust for Public Land (TPL) has long been one of my favorite organizations. They have contributed to boosting quality of life and revitalization in communities across the U.S.

One of their most effective techniques is providing low-or-no-cost bridge financing to communities, allowing local governments to purchase key properties when they come onto the market.

The goal is to increase public green space—often restoring public space lost due to poor urban planning in the past—and sometimes with a heritage restoration component.

They are a large, nationwide organization, so there are usually multiple job openings at any given time (12 as of this first posting in July of 2015). Thus, I’ve taken the expedient of simply posting their jobs page, rather than a particular job.

From the TPL website: The Trust for Public Land creates parks and protects land for people, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come. We work to ensure that everyone has access to nature within a 10-minute walk from home.

Since 1972, we’ve helped generate more than $34 billion in state and local conservation funding, completed more than 5,000 conservation [and restoration] projects, and protected more than 3 million acres nationwide.
