Liverpool, England’s high street is to get a healthy boost after being chosen as a beneficiary by some of the UK’s biggest retail brands.
Business in the Community announced Liverpool is to be part of its Healthy High Street regeneration programme.
The enterprise programme – backed by Boots, the Co-Operative Group, Marks and Spencer, EE, Extertion Media, Greggs, and banking giant Santander – was launched in 2014 and Liverpool is one of 34 new high streets selected for the programme.
Business in the Community’s Peter Donohoe, said: “One of the most powerful ways for business to make an impact in communities is by creating high streets that are vibrant places to live, work and do business.
