The city of Malaga, Spain has bought as many as 37,610 trees which are to reforest the big natural spaces which surround the city.
They are also to restore the surrounding mountains that are integrated in the main urban area.
The Parks and Gardens Department has spent €124,000 on the samples, which have are mainly pine trees, stone pines, holm oaks and carob trees.
All are native to the Mediterranean area and are able to grow in areas where the soil is somewhat damaged.
