Oslo subway station video wall educates public on urban renewal

An unusual kind of digital out-of-home content is running alongside the usual advertising and transport information on an Oslo, Norway metro station’s new video wall.

The 2.5x11m screen at the Tøyen metro station in the Norwegian capital depicts urban renewal efforts in that part of Oslo as well as carrying commercials and real-time metro information.

The local government has recently put a lot of investment into the city, creating new parks and renovating certain areas,” said Jonas Michael, head of digital operations and development at Clear Channel Norway.

It was important for them to have a high-resolution screen to showcase the regeneration work they had been doing in the city of Oslo and the efforts made for the local community, including schools.”
