PODCAST: Historic preservation, community revitalization and the Restoration Economy

Preservation Maryland knows that historic preservation can be a part of a larger world of reuse and revitalization, and they know that these projects are occurring all over the world.

That’s why they brought in Storm Cunningham, a speaker, consultant, and thinker whose ideas have been put into practice all across the globe about his perspective on revitalization. (Note: Storm also keynoted Preservation Maryland’s Preservation Summer School in Frederick, Maryland on July 21, 2016.)

In its first year, PreserveCast was downloaded over 10,000 times, quickly making it America’s most-listened-to preservation podcast. In early 2018, the Maryland Historical Trust honored the podcast with their prestigious award for Excellence in Media & Publications. Each episode is hosted by Preservation Maryland’s Executive Director, Nicholas Redding, who interviews a professional about their work — with a specific focus on the intersection of preservation and technology.

Learn about the bigger picture of community revitalization and how we can make the most of our existing world in the 21st century on this episode of PreserveCast.
