Restoring historic trains for a (very satisfying) living

In the photo above, Donald Whatley, of Shadow Transit Service, works to remove vinyl siding in the Budd Observation Car at Naples Depot Museum on August 5, 2015.

The Budd Car is undergoing an extensive year-long restoration to bring the car back to what it was like in 1947.

It was one of six built for the Seaboard Air Line Railroad in 1947 and was primarily used in New York-Florida service.
