RFI: Here’s an opportunity to base your civic or cultural organization at a revitalized wharf in Boston, Massachusetts

On November 7, 2022, the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) released a Request for Letters of Interest (RFI) seeking interest from civic and cultural users to occupy and program space located at 131 Beverly Street on the revitalized Lovejoy Wharf.

Potential uses of the facility include visitor services, recreational programming, exhibitions, art galleries as well as historic and cultural exhibits.

The space is located on the waterfront, along the Harborwalk and features nearby public docking facilities and a public pavilion with a grand staircase all located near the TD Garden, Alcove Restaurant and Night Shift Brewing Company.

The BPDA is seeking respondents that are qualified to operate civic/cultural space, which is designed as a visitor’s center-style facility.

The Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture will support the BPDA in connecting eligible arts and cultural uses to this opportunity and assessing responses to the RFI.

The BPDA will host an informational meeting at 131 Beverly Street for interested applicants on December 1, 2022.

For more information contact Delaney Morris at Delaney.Morris@Boston.gov.

The RFI will be open until February 3, 2023.
