The city of Columbus, Indiana has issued a Request For Proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment of the former Walesboro Airport site. Parcels of 465 acres, 535 acres and 625 acres are available.
They seek to purchase and provide development services to design, build, establish and operate a transportation proving ground, research and development and/or testing and validation complex.
The Greater Columbus Economic Development Corporation helped prepare the RFP, and will continue to advise during the evaluation process.
