Land Bank and City of Detroit seek a mixed-use, affordable housing redeveloper to revitalize a 1-acre site near new supermarket

The City of Detroit, Michigan’s Housing and Revitalization Department (HRD)—in partnership with the Detroit Land Bank Authority (DLBA)—is seeking a redeveloper for 16711 Burt Road.

The 1.02-acre site is located within one mile from the intersection of W. McNichols Road and Grand River Avenue, and is just a short walk from the newly-constructed Meijer supermarket.

The desired project will be a 40-50 unit, multi-story residential development with potential commercial space on the ground floor. It will also be a mixed-income affordable housing or supportive housing development. HRD will support the selected developer to secure LIHTC financing in the October 2020 round.

Submissions are due Friday, February 28, 2020.
Questions should be directed to James Bufalino with Premier Property Services at 313-822-9000 or James@PPSAM.com.
