RFP – Here’s your chance to redevelop 20.8 city-owned acres: the largest vacant property on the West Side of Chicago

On September 28, 2020, Chicago‘s Department of Planning and Development (DPD) issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the acquisition and redevelopment of 25 publicly-owned parcels at Roosevelt and Kostner in the North Lawndale community area.

The 20.8-acre site constitutes the largest piece of vacant land on the West Side of Chicago. The City, the neighborhood, and the selected development team have a unique opportunity to advance a proposal that will truly benefit the people of North Lawndale.

A pre-bid meeting will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20. All who download the RFP on the City’s website will be sent an invitation to register for the meeting one week prior to the event.

Questions and comments can be directed to DPD@cityofchicago.org.

Responses to the RFP are due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2020.
