The city of Denver, Colorado has issued two of the seven requests for proposals (RFP) it expects to have out by the end of the year for work on its massive redevelopment project at the National Western Stock Show site.
Denver plans to create a 270-acre “National Western Center.” The plan is for the center to host year-round events and feature office buildings, research and a medical center for horses.
RPFs for project reporting and communications and marketing are already out, with the latter issued July 28, 2016, said Kelly Leid, executive director of the city’s Office of the National Western Center.
Next on the list is an RFP for campus program management, which will establish a team that controls things such as budgets and change management, as well as one seeking a “master plan 2.0,” a site transportation and parking management system and a plan for the redesign of Brighton Boulevard between 44th Street and Race Court.
The final RFP is for “district scale regeneration,” or a set of plans for achieving the city’s energy and water goals for the redeveloped complex, which could potentially become a public-private partnership.
