RFP: Mixed-use redeveloper wanted for long-vacant, 23-acre, town-owned site (CT)

The town of Manchester, Connecticut is seeking proposals for mixed-use redevelopment to revitalize its long-vacant, 23-acre, town-owned Broad Street Parkade in the Broad Street Redevelopment Area.

Proposals must include a conceptual site plan; schedule of proposed construction; a summary of expected economic impacts, including jobs and tax revenue; and information on how the town would be expected to participate, financially or otherwise.

The project should stand as a quality mixed-use development on its own, while tying into and complementing the surrounding neighborhoods and community,” the RFP states.

The request also outlines Manchester’s assets, including highway access, parks, a historic downtown, aerospace and precision manufacturing companies, a 249-bed acute care hospital and over 3 million square feet of retail and entertainment businesses.

For inquiries and site inspection and investigation, contact Adam Tulin, Director of General Services, gensvcs@manchesterct.gov, (860) 647-3031.

The deadline for proposals is May 16, 2019.
