RFP: Redevelop and revitalize 70 acres of waterfront in Jacksonville, Florida

The Downtown Investment Authority of Jacksonville, Florida will solicit proposals for redevelopment of riverfront property near EverBank Field in a bid to reenergize that area.

The new proposal will include a swath of land stretching from Met Park to the Shipyards that encompasses about 70 acres.

Companies can submit responses to the DIA starting January 5, 2017. Developers will have 60 days to submit their proposals.

After that, the DIA will have several weeks to decide which proposal should go forward. The DIA will then draft a resolution and negotiations will begin with the winner. If an agreement is reached, then City Council would have to vote on that.
