RFP: Redeveloper wanted for 4.2 acre site near transit in revitalized area of Washington, DC

Sometime in April of 2018, the government of the District of Columbia will (or already did, depending on when you’re reading this) issue an RFP for a 4.2-acre redevelopment site next to the new Washington Wizards practice facility on the St. Elizabeths East campus.

The St. Elizabeths RFP will solicit redevelopers to build residential, office and retail on the 186,000 square foot site at 1100 Alabama Ave. SE.

The project would be built by-right, and the site’s zoning allows for 400,000 sq.ft. of residential and commercial development. Sitting directly between the Congress Heights Metro station and the athletic facility, the Parcel 15 project would serve as the eastern entrance to the 180-acre development.
