RFP: Redevelopers are wanted to revitalize multiple parcels on an 105-acre former stadium site in Waco, Texas

The city of Waco, Texas has issued an RFP soliciting proposals for the redevelopment of the former Floyd Casey Stadium site on the south side of the city.

Baylor University demolished the stadium in 2016, and the city subsequently acquired the 105-acre property.

The site comprises several parcels, including one parcel at 56.97 acres, one at 28.68 acres, one at 5.18 acres, plus 38 smaller parcels under an acre.

The properties are designated for mixed use flex, office industrial flex, and open space.

The 56.97-acre parcel is zoned for single-family residences. The 28.68- and 5.18-acre parcels are zoned general industrial district, and the smaller ones are zoned as single-family residence district, office residence district, and office district.

Redevelopers must submit their proposal by 2 pm, November 22, 2019.
