The state government has initiated the process of reconstructing its two oldest residential colonies in Gardanibagh and Shastrinagar areas of Patna, Bihar, India.
The building construction department has invited expression of interest for preparing a master plan and housing scheme at Gardanibagh for constructing residential premises for judges of the Patna high court, ministers and multi-storied building for support staff (class III &IV).
The existing buildings will be demolished. The BCD has also invited EOI from individuals/firms of repute for the proposed multistoreyed housing scheme of different categories for officers in 4.62 acre area at Shastrinagar.
According to the latest project, 25 bungalows will be constructed for the high court judges on 11.70 acre of land. The same number of houses will be made for the officers of different categories in 10.22 acre area. A separate multistoreyed building will be made for the support staff/class III & IV in seven acre area.
The state cabinet recently approved the Gardanibagh redevelopment project and the BCD is to appoint a consultant of repute to prepare a master plan for the housing scheme.
Sealed tenders are invited for undertaking detailed planning and design of the housing scheme at Gardanibagh.
The BCD will ink a contract with only one firm which must have all the necessary qualifications and consultancy expertise to prepare the plan, either in-house or in alliance with sub-consultants.
