RFP: Redevelopment of airpark in Hamilton, New York

The Partnership for Community Development (PCD) is a non-profit serving the community and economic development needs of the Hamilton, New York area.

The Village of Hamilton has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) planning grant to undertake an Airpark Opportunities Assessment and Redevelopment Plan for the Hamilton Airpark. PCD, as the grant’s sub-recipient, is soliciting RFPs for individuals or firms to complete the study.

The Airpark Opportunity Assessment and Redevelopment Plan will focus on more than 50 acres of land adjacent to the Hamilton Airport in close proximity to Colgate University.

The site features low-cost municipal water, sewer, electric, and gas allowing for new development in a variety of industry clusters. The Plan will analyze the opportunities that exist and barriers to development, as well as provide a marketing plan for recruiting new businesses.

A steering committee has been created representing the various stakeholders including the Village of Hamilton, the PCD, and the Airport/Airpark Commission.

The committee will oversee the RFP process and work with the selected consultant throughout the study.

Proposals should be received no later than 4:00 pm, May 16th, 2016.
