Residential redevelopment for stadium as team moves into empty Olympic facility

Housebuilder Barratt Homes has teamed up with London developer Galliard Homes to convert West Ham’s Upton Park stadium into a residential village, according to a national newspaper.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that building firm Barratt has signed a joint venture agreement with Galliard – the firm that has bought the ground from the Hammers, who are moving to London’s Olympic Stadium for next season.

Hammers chairwoman Karen Brady said in February that Galliard won the bid to buy the site because of its east London roots.
