Storm Cunningham to keynote Sustainable YOU, Tallahassee, FL, March 22-23 2016

Sustainable YOU: The Business of Green is North Florida’s premier sustainability conference. It will take place at the Turnbull Conference Center on March 22-23, 2016 in Tallahassee, Florida.

One of this year’s 3 keynoters is REVITALIZATION publisher Storm Cunningham. Sustainable YOU conference organizers attended the regional Sustainable Communities conference put on by the city of Dubuque, Iowa in 2014, and saw Storm do the keynote there.

The City of Tallahassee convenes the conference to showcase green economic development programs and activities, innovations and advances in community development and resiliency, and sustainability best practices that protect and conserve natural resources while improving residents’ quality of life.

The theme of Sustainable YOU 2016 is The Business of Green – Restoring Human and Natural Environments to Build Resilient Communities, and the conference will feature presentations in three tracks, and a workshop.

The other two wonderful keynoters are:

  • David Eichenthal, executive director of the Strong Cities Strong Communities National Resource Network – Eichenthal will share an overview of the ongoing transformation of Chattanooga, TN into a resilient community. Chattanooga has a long history of forging public and private partnerships and engaging citizens to help reach common goals.
  • Julian McQueen, director of Education and Outreach with Green For All – McQueen has engaged thousands of people in the climate movement, partnering with seasoned organizers from all over the country to implement innovative solutions on the ground. McQueen will share tactics on how to build an inclusive green economy that is strong enough to lift people out of poverty.
