Sunnyside, Washington’s downtown revitalization project is complete except for the last few pieces of paperwork, but city staff is still working on other projects.
The downtown revitalization project replaced streets and sidewalks in the core of the city surrounding the intersection of Sixth Street and Edison Avenue, along with upgrading the infrastructure beneath the pavement.
New sidewalks, planter boxes and lights were installed to make downtown more inviting for business.
#City officials are currently proceeding with another project to make improvements on Sixth Street between Decatur and North avenues. The project design is nearly halfway complete.
The project will upgrade the road surface and include infrastructure updates. It will also include improvements to the intersection of Sixth Street and Yakima Valley Highway.
