Texas city celebrates renovated park; part of neighborhood revitalization program

On August 27 and 28, 2016, residents of Round Rock, Texas enjoyed a re-dedication ceremony to mark the revitalization of Stella Park.

The Round Rock City Council previously approved $375,000 in 2014 as part of the Repair and Replacement Program, earmarked for revitalization of neighborhood and community parks throughout Round Rock. This program is also part of the council’s overall Neighborhood Revitalization Program.

The city’s Parks Development Division has been steadily revitalizing various parks throughout the community collaborating with local neighborhoods to ensure local needs are met,” said city officials.

Stella Park is a peaceful neighborhood park that is located off of Nancy Drive. Stella Park offers the community with 2.62 acres of land to enjoy. You can ride your bike to the park, because Stella comes equipped with a convenient bike rack.

Upon arrival, you’ll find a walking loop, an ADA accessible tennis court, basketball court, baseball practice field, and playscape. All of which are appropriately spread out across the park, allowing for a more balanced atmosphere. Stella Park also provides visitors with other amenities, which include a picnic shelter, picnic tables, drinking fountain and a barbecue grill.
