U.S. communities can apply now for 3-year grants of up to $5 million each to support collaborative revitalization efforts

The AdvancingCities Challenge is a $500 million, five-year initiative from JPMorgan Chase to invest in solutions that bolster the long-term vitality of the world’s cities and the communities within them that have not benefited from economic growth.

The 2020 competition will provide three-year grants of up to $5 million each to collaborative revitalization efforts.

Based on the knowledge and experience JPMorgan Chase has gained working with partners in cities across the country via its PRO Neighborhoods Competition, JPMorgan Chase is moving the PRO Neighborhoods Competition into the AdvancingCities Challenge.

The AdvancingCities Challenge continues to emphasize the importance of collaboration, strong leadership, and bold and innovative approaches to help ensure that prosperity is more widely shared, and that all residents have opportunities to thrive.

The expanded AdvancingCities Challenge will allow for continued sharing of best practices between cities as well as support for a broader spectrum of solutions, from targeted neighborhood-based initiatives that meet pressing demands to city-wide or regional strategies that tackle systemic challenges.
