University of Indonesia revitalizes cities, green spaces, and tourist attractions

The University of Indonesia‘s (UI) Institute of Technology Engineering faculty has taken an initiative to revitalize Jambi‘s tourist attractions, in the hope of attracting more tourists to the area and boosting locally sourced revenue through tourism receipts.

Jambi governor Zumi Zola expressed his confidence in the collaboration with UI, which has ample experience revitalizing various cities.

Redesigning cities has been one of the main priorities for some Indonesian cities, such as Jakarta, Surabaya (East Java), Bandung (West Java).

There has been a growing public demand in these cities for greater urban planning to create open green spaces.
