VIDEO: How the $180 million deal got done to redevelop a former General Motors plant

Doraville is a city in DeKalb County, Georgia, northeast of Atlanta. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 8,330.

The torn-down General Motors plant in Doraville may finally be redeveloped now that governments are helping to raise $180 million for infrastructure.

It took years of negotiations before the tax financing deal was completed by DeKalb County and the city of Doraville.

The developer, The Integral Group, to attract businesses and rebuild the 165-acre site into vibrant mix of offices, retail and residences.
