Video documents the restoration of California’s (not so) Common Murres

Using innovative restoration techniques in a challenging location over the span of ten years, dedicated scientists worked with local schools and government agencies to restore Common Murres (a diving seabird) to their ancestral home off the coast of San Francisco, California.

In 1986, a breeding colony of Common Murres on Devil’s Slide Rock off the coast of San Francisco was devastated by an oil spill.

It was produced, written, and directed by Kevin White.
