VIDEO: In New Mexico, the Native American Kewa Pueblo celebrates historic adobe home restoration as part of revitalization project

In New Mexico, the Kewa Pueblo (Santo Domingo tribe) hosted an open house for federal and state officials in March of 2021 to show off a newly renovated historic adobe home.

It’s one of about 150 traditional homes in the village that have fallen into disrepair and the Pueblo hopes to restore.

The project is made possible by federal and state funding.

Historic postcard shows a Corn Dance ceremony at the Kewa Pueblo, back when it still had the name forced on it by Spanish missionaries: Santo Domingo.
