Volunteer to restore historic buildings all across America

HistoriCorps is a nonprofit organization that provides volunteers, students and veterans of all skill levels with a hands-on experience preserving historic structures on public lands across America.

Volunteers and students work with HistoriCorps field staff to learn preservation skills and put those skills to work saving historic places that have fallen into disrepair.

HistoriCorps works to ensure America’s cultural and historical sites exist for generations to come.

As of 2016, HistoriCorps is about to begin its seventh season of projects, and we are proud of the variety of places and structures we have been able to service.

They choose and develop our projects with our partners to maximize the experience and fun for volunteers, exposing you to unique places, historic structures, and skill building that will capture your attention and enthusiasm.

Volunteers give their time – usually a week at a time – to pitch in. No experience necessary. Campsite, food and training provided.
